Picking Blueberries at a farm in the New forest Hampshire
As English Blueberries starts to hit the shelves of our supermarkets, its pour blue gold for Sandy Booth of The New Forest Fruit Company in the Hampshire. For the Blueberry harvest has started on time this year despite the weather. Sandy says he hopes to harvest 45 Million Blueberries from his 7 Hectare Crop, this season. Many People thought that the harvest would be late, due to the poor weather but using many different varieties, this has not proved a problem for the farm and the season will continue until August. In Total the company has 80 hectares growing, Growing strawberries and Raspberries amongst other things.
