African beer, known as 'umqombothi', is brewed from sorghum rice and home brewing is a feature of life in Langa Township. These two men, sampling their home brew in a white plastic drum, offer a taste to visiting tourists. The man standing wears a fleece bearing the name 'Chiefs', a reference to the Kaizer Chiefs, one of South Africa's premiere football teams, based in Soweto, Johannesburg.
