The Refreshment Room at Miller Dale Station in the Peak District. The restored café is very popular with cyclists and walkers on the Monsal Trail


The quaintly names Refreshment Room in the old station at at Miller Dale. It is next to a large car park and hence is a popular place to start or finish the Monsal Trail which follows the old railway line. The Refreshment Roomunderwent a refurbishment in 2019, helped by a grant from the National Parks Authority. In 2022 an old engine shed was converted at an exhibition area with money from the EU. The trail is popular with both cyclists and walkers. It also has an attached public toilet! Millers Dale was once the largest station on the Midland Line, at one time boasting 5 platforms.
