Coloration pale olive, bluish in life; a V( ^y distinct brownish line along the edges of each row of scales, appearing wavy or serrated as it follows the scales; about 10 of these longitudinal stripes are present; males with the lines interrupted, appearing a>^ series of dots and further marked by about 9 dark cross-bars; adults with a dark blotch below the eye, sometimes confluent with it. Head wide, with overhanging supercilia; iuterorbital width twice the diameter of the orbit, which enters the length of the head 2J times.
