The Royal Air Force is saying farewell to the Panavia Tornado, of which it once operated over 200 of the bomber version. RAF Marham is home to IX and 31 squadrons who share around 16 of the remaining Tornado GR4 jets before the venerable type ends its service in a few weeks. RAF Tornadoes saw service in the Gulf and Iraq wars as well as peacekeeping missions. Nine Tornadoes flew a formation flypast to mark the drawdown. They will never fly in such numbers again as they continue to be withdrawn
