View W of Newbigging Farm cup-and-ring marked stone, Perth and Kinross, Scotland, UK, moved to this location beside a field gate (NO 155352) in 1981. At least 37 cupmarks, some with up to five rings & radial grroves (tails) some within a channel forming a three-side 'frame'. At times the whinstone boulder has been set up as a standing stone, but the carvings were made when the block was recumbent. Sometime before 1867, the stone was 'discovered' prostrate on Gladsfield land (NO15213520), it was erected on a rubble plinth by the tenant around 1894 & excavated prior to removal in 1981.
