He was again detailed into the Quartermasters Department,remaining there until the spring of 1804, then was transferred to the Ambulance Corps, in whiclicapacity he served until the close of the war. Mas mustered out with his regiment IMay 28, 1805. After returning hot^e lie again resumed farming until 1873, then moved to Rochester, duringwhich time he was engaged in various occupations. He spent five years in the employ of Burke, , l[one & Co. as shipping clerk, and two years with Sibley, Lindsay & Curr in the same capacityafter which ho eniragid with the (. S.
