T. Shipside Ltd was a car dealership on Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, UK. Originally Tom Shipside opened his Morris dealership in 1913 Later the company was listed as reciprocal retail dealers, meaning that they stocked other car makes within the British Motor Corporation (BMC). This image was taken within the 1950s and would have been after 1952 as this was when the BMC was founded. The site has changed over the decades but is still recognizable. It is still used as a garage as well as tyre fitters too. Their was also another dealership in Loughborough and along with the Nottingham branch, was sold in the 1980s. Tom Shipside was responsible for building Tollerton Airfield in 1928.
