8th November 2017. Maidstone, England. Maidstone County Court rules that the policy of Kent landlord Fergus Wilson banning 'coloureds' from renting his properties, because of the smell of curry they leave, is unlawful. Mr Wilson of Boughton Monchelsea village in Kent had sent an email to his letting agent instructing them not to let to Indian and Pakistani applicants "because of the cost of removing the smell of curry at the end of their tenancy". He was found to be in contravention of section 13 of the Equality Act 2010 and an injunction was issued against him. Credit: PjrFoto/Alamy Live News
