At a Court held on June 21, 1894, the Master [RaymondH. Thrupp] reported the purchase by Mr. Warden Ewart2 onbehalf of the Company of a portrait of Francis Le Neve,Master of the Company in 1629, by C. Janssen, when the actionof Mr. Warden Ewart was approved and it was ordered that asum not exceeding £105 be granted to cover the cost of thepicture—£99 15s.—and incidental expenses.
