Conservation and research of brown kiwi in commercial tree plantation, Waimarino Forest, Raetihi. North island, New Zealand. Biologists Kerry Oates, Sasha Hunter and Marina Thurau catch kiwis to attach radio transmitters and take measurements. Eggs are removed for artificial hatching as in some areas all kiwi chicks are killed by predators.
