Kennydale is a village of about 200 peoplelocated on the shore of Lake Washingtonthree miles from the town of Renton withsteamboat connection with Seattle. Thereare several logging and shingle mills inthe vicinity and a number of people areengaged in fruit raising and market gar-dening. Bothell is located at the head of LakeWashington and on the line of the NorthernPacific Railway. The chief industries are Puget Sound and Western Washington 87. Ravensdale is a coal mining town locat-ed on the line of the Columbia and PugetSound Railway. The population is about1,000, practically all of whom are engagedin the mines. Preston is located on the line of theNorthern Pacific Railway and is a townof about 400 inhabitants. Logging and themanufacture of lumber and shingles are theprincipal industries. North Bend is a town of about 500 popu-lation and is located at the terminus ofa branch line of the Northern Pacific Rail- way. Logging camps and lumber mills fur-nish employment to most of the people
