A flintlock rifle, Franz Rinspacher, Munich, circa 1825. Octagonal barrel, seven groove rifled bore in 12 mm calibre with patent breechblock, screw-in snail and well preserved finish. Dovetailed silver front sight and folding chiselled iron rear sight. Adjustable peep sight. Profuse gold and silver ornamental inlays on muzzle and breech. The top of the barrel is signed in gold, "F. Rinspacher in München". Colour case hardened flintlock with rich gold inlay, another signature, waterproof pan, and frizzen with roller.
