Future Housing As the population of Bristol increases new areas will have to be developed, the present prop-erty within the First Taxing District being practically all buUt up. To the south the rugged char-acter of the slope of South Mountain prevents a normal expansion of houses on an economic same is true of conditions to the west and northwest. Such areas can be developed for betterclass houses or for small houses with large lots. Federal Hill stands in the way of expansion eastbut beyond the slopes out on the plain west and northwest of Forestville are large tracts that wouldmake ideal sites for extensive housing projects. Another section that shotild be used for housingdevelopments is that north and east of Birge Pond. This area is of limited extent but cotild beadvantageously built up and would take care of a good sized community in the future. 12 ^.
