A Blolo Bla ancestral figure of the Baule, Ivory Coast Female figure made from blackened wood with a finely carved, elaborate hairstyle, short arms held close to the body as well as short, sturdy legs. Face, belly and back decorated with tribal scars, around the neck a threefold necklace made from glass beads. Colouring somewhat rubbed, on the reverse side and on the sides several cracks.
