Lionel Bolland, Chief Executive of the Port Sunlight Village Trust said: “The festival is our most ambitious event initiative to date and we see it as an opportunity to demonstrate how we can widen our role, profile and offer amongst the tourism hub of Merseyside, Wirral & Cheshire. “Given our exciting partnership with lead sponsors PG Tips in hosting the event, we’re planning a two day bonanza with a heavy emphasis on food, family fun and entertainment. This will boost both the community, indigenous food producers, many SME businesses in the area and of course, generate multipliers effects for the tourism industry too.” Additional sponsors include Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) who have signed up and will be attending to highlight their waste prevention work, in particular the Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
