He held this Secretaryship consecutively for nearly thirty-four years. Hewas also for many years Grand Secretary of the Grand Chapter, and Grand Re-corder of the Grand Council and the Grand Commandery of the State. He was widely known and greatly loved for his kindness of heart, his benevo-lence and his good, sound judgment. He was a man of strict integrity, and was atower of strength to the Masonic fraternity.
