Sadhus are ascetics and renouncer's who are looking to reach enlightenment . The sadhu society in India and Nepal is very large and divided . They may worship different gods like Shiva or Vishnu and follow different gurus(spiritual leaders). They live in various holy places in Himalayas , along the Ganges river on the top of the hills etc. Ideally they are following rigorous austerities and are noted for the power of their blessing .
