Both the Pupil and the Teacher must count them tog-ether aloud. 2b The Pupil must count them aloud, while the Teacher marks them with his hand,gently and visibly only. The Pupil must not count, and the Teacher will count the time, at first aloud,and then softly. 3l52 123 Pupil must play them without either counting-or beating- time. &]y Lastly, The Teacher should himself play these Exercises, while the Pupil countsaloud and also marks the time with his hand. §20.
