The St. Louis Flower Show Associa- tion is now finishing the details for the spring show to be held at St. Louis March 15 to 18. It no doubt Avill bo a huge success. Manager Jules Bourdet and Secretary W. W. Ohlweiler are two exceedingly busy persons, putting the finishing touches here, or settling some diflBcult proposition that has loomed up; in fact, there is a continuous buzz evident when- ever you get into cither's office. The finances of the St. Louis Flower Show Association are in perfect shape. They are in the hands of W. A. Bowe. It is superfluous to state that things will be properly taken care of; Mr. Kowe's manner of diplomatically evading exces- sive expenses and at the same time satis- fying everyone makes his ability invalu- able to the committee. August II. Hummert must be com- mended for his work as chairman of the guarantee fund committee. This means hard worlc from the start, and uphill work. Many talks and pleas must be made, to secure all of the money essen- tial to make a show possible through a guarantee fund; but with a talking won- der like Mr. Hummert, anything is pos- sible. Alex.
