Honeybee brood frame

Honeybee (Apis mellifera) brood frame. In beekeeping, the word brood refers to the eggs, larvae and pupae of the bees. Frames in which brood are developing are called brood frames. The cells are used to store honey and maturing bee pupae. Reading a brood frame allows a beekeeper to evaluate the health of a colony. Photographed in Tarragona, Spain.
