It is Percoidea, or Perch-like Fishes 511 dull green in color and feeds on insects and worms. It has noeconomic value, although extremely interesting in its anatomyand relationship. Whether the Asiiieopidcv, fresh-water fishes of the AmericanEocene, and the Erismatopteridce, of the same deposits (see page450) are related to Aphredoderus or to Percopsis is still xincertain.
