Machcerodus neogceus.—Cranium, much reduced ; from South America. Museum ; and is figured by De Blainville in his ' Osteo- graphie,' genus Felis, pi. xx. A small pm. 3, of different sizes on the two sides, is present in the mandible. No history. 43235. The left ramus of the mandible, wanting the cutting-teeth; from the Pleistocene of Buenos Ayres. In this specimen pm. a is absent. Presented by Senor L. J. Fontana, 1871. 43236. The left ramus of the mandible, wanting the cutting-teeth; from the Pleistocene of Buenos Ayres. In this specimen the teeth are in beautiful preservation; pm73 is present, and is of considerably larger size than in the Paris skull (No. M. 1572). Presented by Senor L. J.
