Model of International Space Station (ISS) module Columbus, interior view. This module, designed by the European Space Agency to provide laboratory services for the ISS, was built by in Turin, Italy. It was then launched from the Kennedy Space Centre in the USA, in February 2008, and attached to the ISS later that month. It is 7 metres long and metres across. Photographed in 2006, at the European Space Technology Centre (ESTEC), near Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
