Titanosaurs. Artwork of a herd of Titanosaurs crossing a river. In the foreground are dinosaur eggs, with some eggs (at lower left) hatching. Titanosaurs belong to the sauropod dinosaurs, gigantic quadruped herbivores up to 35 metres in length and up to 100 tonnes body mass. The Titanosaurs were by far the predominant sauropods of the late Cretaceous period (about 70 million years ago). Many species of Titanosaurs have been found in Africa, North and South America, Europe and Asia.
