In cases in which the whole or nearly the whole of the lower lip is removed,the V should have a wide angle (Figs. 914 and 915) or the excisionshould be in the form of a U. As much of the chin as possible should bepreserved. Horizontal incision should be carried outward from the cornersof the mouth as described above.
