A Marine stands at the top of a cliff used for rappelling Sept. 20, 2016 at Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa, Japan. The cliff is one of the many areas where Marines must demonstrate proficiency in tactical operations in the jungle environment. JWTC stretches across more than 17,000 acres and is home to several rigorous courses through which Marines must navigate harsh terrain and climate-specific training in preparation for operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
