Clock tower of the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo, Tavira, Algarve, Portugal. Thought to have been built on the old mosque between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, after the re- conquest of Tavira by the Order of Santiago Tavira (1242). The church exhibits examples of many architectural styles from the Gothic through to Manueline, Baroque and Neoclassical. From the Gothic period it maintains the principle façade, the side chapels, a window and corbelling.
