It is traditionally renowned for its annual Christmas market offering traditional handicrafts and food. The present well on the square was also designed by Palmstedt and was connected to the new Stock Exchange Building. It dried up in 1856 and was relocated to Brunkebergstorg, but it was moved back to its original location in the 1950s. This image is from an amateur 35mm colour transparency. It will look soft and grainy if used at too large a size – a vintage 1970s photograph.
