A copy of a page of the Codex Argenteus ("Silver Book") that is on exhibit at the Carolina Rediviva Libaray at the University of Upsala in Sweden. The codex is a sixth-century manuscript that includes Bishop Ulfilas' fourth-century translation of the Bible into the Gothic language. Ulfilas is believed to have been a Goth or a half-Goth/half-Greek from Cappadocia in present-day Turkey.
