I have to admit that it looks and sounds abso- lutely fascinating. I have seen books on various aspects o£ flora, fatma, or topography of Palest ine, but never one that looked so complete (thorrrh I*m not sure I know the literature that well). My Problem vitn the outline is visualizing it as a book on Schocken*s list. It sotnehow doesn't seem quite right for us. Our publications in biblical studies have not really been that extensive, and it would seem to me that the book would be more suiteQ^le either to a very developed biblical studies list or to a university press. Perhaps the JPS could be interested or even a non Jewish publisher that specializes in biblical studies. Or you might want to try something like the University of Chicago Press. « Thank you anyway for showing it to me.
