There was always quitea little reaction, which had to be combated by atropin,hot fomentations, and exclusion of light. Only the super-ficial parts of the opacities could be removed, as the deeperportions seemed to be in the superficial layers of the corneaproper. This treatment was continued for several months,and then abandoned, as it appeared to me that no permanentresults
