A 20-year-old Afghan gunshot wound victim receives immediate, life-saving surgical care from members of the Farah Forward Surgical Team at Forward Operating Base Farah, Afghanistan, May 18. The victim received wounds caused by Taliban gunfire in Shewan village in Farah province. He was later medically evacuated to Shindand for further treatment.
