False-colour transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of the bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens, showing its \tails\" or flagella, which it uses to move about. P. fluorescens is an aerobic bacterium found in soil & water. Its name is derived from its production of a yellow-green, water-soluble pigment which fluoresces under ultraviolet light. Thise TEM has been produced by the shadow technique & has been given an orange monochrome tint. Magnification: x5360 at 35mm size, x10,720 at 6x7cm size."
