Clostridium villosum is an obligately anaerobic, rod-shaped, spore forming, nonmotile organism which is gram positive in its early stages of growth and gram negative after 18 to 24 hpurs. The commonest anaerobic bacterium in feline oral flora is often associated with abscess formation from cat bites. Magnification: x4000 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
