Many of the large numbers who havecome out from darkness, not having hadmuch instruction, see as yet through a glassdarkly. They frequently take the gospelliterally, and one late instance of a well-to-do woman who built a little church, andgave largely of her means in other respects,and who is a sincere believer, is noiv look-ing for a tenfold return from her gifts tothe Lord! We have had many instancesof what they thought was demon-possession,which they tried to cure by prayer.
