Specimens figured by Michailov (1951: 88, pi. 16 (figs 66-71)) asAncyloceras bipunctatum also suggest an open, crioceratitid or aspinoceratidmode of coiling in some specimens, although a straight fragment was alsofigured. From the descriptions above, Ancyloceras bipunctatum may be defined asprobably being dimorphic. The shell probably has an initial, loosely coiled,shallow helix with similar ribbing, and tubercles displaced sHghtly to one , shallow con
