Inchildren where it is difficult to catheterize the ureters, they maysometimes be similarly filled by distention of the bladder in casesof obstruction at the neck of the bladder due to congenital valvesin the region of the verumontanum. Congenital anomalies aresometimes encountered, such as hour-glass bladder and patenturachus which gives a thin line of solution extending upward umbilicus.
