Catford hill climb 120 event geared road bike race against the clock TT steep country lane focused on road ahead
The Oldest Continuing Cycle Race in the World started in 1886 by the Catford Cycling Club. Richard Bussell RST Sport/Aero-Coach wins the 120th Annual Catford CC Hill climb at York Hill, IdeHill, Kent on October 11 2015 at midday. This years winning time was 1 minute and seconds, this still fails to beat the 1 minute seconds record set by Phil Mason (San Fairy Ann CC) in 1983 The race is a 707 yard climb with an average gradient of with two stretches of 25% which requires an all-out lung bursting effort to get up the climb. The Oldest Continuing Cycle Race in the world.
