A National Historic Landmark, Mission San Xavier del Bac, also known as the White Dove of the Desert, was founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692 on the Tohono O'odham Nation, Tucson, Arizona, USA. Construction of the current church began in 1783 and was completed in 1797. The mission is the oldest intact European structure in Arizona. The view to the north of the mission.
