McLennan County has 137 public schools, receiving from theState and County school fund $129,823; seven fine colleges, severalprivate schools and two business colleges. There are 140 churchorganizations in the county, having many large and expensiveedifices. Cost of Lands. Improved lands are rated $25 to $40 per acre; unimproved $12to $15 per acre. Banks. The deposits of eleven banks amount to $3,500,000. Railway Facilities.
