In addition to the reclamation work shownin pictures the generator armatures and fieldcoils are also repaired by tlie Railroad as theybecome defective. This work is also ofextensive character but as it is handled at. Harry E. Childs our two electrical repair shops. BaileysStation, Baltimore, for the Eastern Lines,and Ivorydaie, Ohio, for the Western Lines,no detailed description of the work is givenat this time. The purpose of this articleis to illustrate the activity of reclaimingturbo-generator parts at Cumberland. It will be noted from the table shown belowthat in an average month, a total saving of$ is shown, which represents thedifference between the cost of reclaiming thevarious parts, including shop and store-house expense, and the cost of new amount, applied on the working allot-ment, would be equivalent to giving 22 addi-tional mechanics employment for one is a splendid example of the benefitsthat accrue to the employes personallythrough the practice of saving or reclaimingmaterial.
