Pisa in Italy was much damaged by bombing in WW2 however one area was spared- the Field of Miracles. This area contains three of the most wonderful buildings in the World. The Duomo, or cathedral, the circular baptistery and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa are all on the same field within the city. There are also the cloisters of the cathedral and several museums around the edges of the main sites. Millions of people every year visit to marvel at the beautiful white marble structures.
