Memorial stone to Mrs Emily Bayne Bossom killed in the Bossom air crash in July 1932. She was the wife of Mr Alfred Bossom MP, Their son Bruce Bossom was the pilot and was also killed along with passenger Prince Otto von Erbach Furstenau of Germany. The light aircraft apparently broke into pieces in the air over Hankley Common near Thursley, Surrey. The cause of the crash is a mystery, but could have been due to a thunderstorm.
