The following is an excerpt from that pamphlet: CZAR MAKES HISTORY The Czar Agricultural Society was form- ed in 1984. One of the first objectives was to build a new hall. The Community made the decision to proceed in April of 1985. The Agricultural Society is a total communi- ty organization and has had overwhelming support. As past residents you are an in- tegral part of our community's history and have much to offer in the way of donations and historical information. The new Czar Cultural and Rec Centre can provide benefits to yourself and the community. Some activities we foresee you par- ticipating in are: Weddings, reunions, social dances, live theatre (professional and amateur), film festivals, conventions, religious functions, funerals, discing, educational programs (in- cluding 4-H, public speaking, adult educa- tion, agricultural seminars). Modern kitchen and catering facilities will be an important part of these activities. Also a modern stage and suspended dance floor are proposed for your enjoyment. At the same time everyone can enjoy the past and present history which will be on display. This building will be a source of pride and joy for the past, present and future residents of the Czar community. Your donation and historical information would be greatly Springbank - smart idea for displaying pictures - adaptable easels - judging criteria printed in fair books and posted on tables Duchess - a very professional organization and display of exhibits for a second year fair. "Look out old timers, there's a new kid on the block!" Bashaw - schedule of events was printed in the paper and there were plenty of extra papers available at the fair.
