Riverdance ferry runs aground
In February 2008, the Riverdance ferry ran aground at night on Anchorsholme Beach near Blackpool in high winds. The following morning amidst the start of the rescue/salvage operation, people walked their dogs on the beach as normal, dwarfed by the stricken craft.
