Lidtke Mill Pond
A national historic site Lidtke Mill was built in 1857 on the upper iowa river. At first it was a water wheel driven, sawmill. Later wheat was ground into high quality flour, which was shipped to the eastern United States and Europe. The mill also produced buckwheat flour. Later still it was used in feed grinding and generating electricity.
