Ivan the Great is depicted wearing dress of Byzantine emperors with the Monomach's Cap on his head and holding a sceptre and a globus cruciger in his hands. A Tatar kneeling beside Ivan the Great represents the expulsion of the Tatars after the Great Stand on the Ugra River (1480).
