Plaça del Rei is one of the most emblematic of the city of Barcelona, located in the Gothic quarter. Keep rectangular arrangement arising from urbanization project that took place during the reign of Martin the Humane in the second half of the fourteenth century. The southeast side contains Padellàs House, the Museum of History of Barcelona, a Gothic house that was moved here from street merchants to open up the Via Laietana. The west side is occupied by the Renaissance Palace of the Lieutenant century XVI. At the southeast corner of the square there is the sculpture Topos V, Eduardo Chillida. In this space there was for many years one of the columns of the Temple of Augustus, now you can visit the courtyard Hiking Centre of Catalonia, the streets of Paradise.
