Fruits oval shape, 2y2' - 3y2' long, 1' - iy2' diameter; 7 to 10 fruits per lb., deep red, mostly 2-celled; in concentrated set that can be harvested in two pickings. 74 RUTGERS An excellent canning variety of wide adaptation. Vine large and prolific with thick stems and vigorous growth; partially resistant to Fusarium wilt. Fruits globular, bright red, smooth, with thick walls and small seed cells. By careful selection over a period years, we have developed a very choice deep fruited strain, notable for its uniformity and high yield of No. 1 fruits.
